Law Enforcement Requests

This page is written for law enforcement and regulators. It states what categories of data this site holds, how to send formal process, and what the honest limits of that process are.

Start with what exists

An editorial site holds far less than a platform. There are no accounts here, no payment processing and no private messaging, so requests for subscriber identity, payment records or message contents cannot be answered from this domain at all. Those records, where they exist, belong to the platform a creator publishes on.

What can exist here:

  • Server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp. Retained for a short operational window measured in weeks.
  • Correspondence sent to legal@, dmca@, ncii@ and [email protected].
  • Case records for complaints: case reference, timestamp, target URL, action taken and when.
  • Published editorial pages and their revision history.

How to send a request

Email [email protected] with "Law enforcement request" in the subject line and attach the process as a PDF. Include the agency and case reference, the exact identifier you are asking about, whether you need preservation or production, the deadline you are working to, and a verifiable point of contact at the agency.

Use "EMERGENCY" in the subject line where there is a risk of death or serious physical injury and delay would matter.

What can be answered, and what cannot

This is an independent editorial project. There is no registered company, no registered address and no agent appointed for service of process. There is therefore no entity here that can be formally served in the usual way.

The consequence is better stated plainly than implied: process cannot be served on a named party, and any response is voluntary cooperation rather than compliance by a served respondent.

What is offered instead is a channel that is read and answered. A request that identifies its legal basis and asks for something that exists gets a substantive answer inside the times below. A request that is speculative, unbounded or extraterritorial in a way that no basis supports gets a reasoned refusal, not silence.

Preservation

A preservation request is acted on when it arrives, before any question of disclosure is decided, because log retention here is short and waiting would destroy the material. Preservation does not imply that the material will be produced.

Emergencies

Where there is a good-faith belief that disclosure would prevent death or serious physical injury, information can be provided without formal process. The basis and the scope of any such disclosure are recorded.

Cases involving minors

Suspected exploitation of a minor goes to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. Send the URL to [email protected] as well and the page comes down immediately, with the material preserved for the investigation.

Notice to affected people

Where someone is the subject of a request, they may be told about it, unless a court order or a clear investigative risk says otherwise. Notice is the default, not the exception.

Cross-border requests

Requests from outside the jurisdiction where the data sits are considered on their merits and generally routed through mutual legal assistance for anything beyond preservation.

Members of the public

This page is not a complaint channel. Use /report/ for an editorial problem, /ncii-report/ for intimate imagery published without consent, and your local emergency services for anything urgent.

Questions people ask

Do you hold subscriber or payment records?

No. There are no accounts and no payments on this site. Those records sit with the platform the creator publishes on, not with an editorial publisher writing about them.

How long are server logs kept?

A short operational window measured in weeks. Send a preservation request early if the logs matter, because after that window they are gone.

Is there an entity that can be served?

No. There is no registered company and no agent for service of process. Requests are read and answered at [email protected] as voluntary cooperation.

How do I mark something as an emergency?

Put EMERGENCY in the subject line and describe the risk in the first paragraph. Emergencies are handled the same day where that is possible at all.

Will the person be told about the request?

Usually yes. Notice is the default unless a court order prohibits it or telling them would clearly compromise an investigation or endanger someone.
